DIVORCE & FAMILY LAW
We recognise that marital break up is a painful and stressful event for all parties concerned, especially children. For this reason, it is often tempting for the parties to attempt a 'DIY' or 'quickie' divorce. However, if property, children, and perhaps inevitably, finance, are involved, then it will almost certainly be more economical in the long run to obtain advice from our Matrimonial specialist Ria Jones. We aim to provide sound and friendly advice to make the divorce process as painless as possible, and can provide you with a free initial interview at a time convenient to you. In addition, we will agree a fixed fee for an uncontested divorce (this does not include ancillary relief proceedings) however, should it become contested we reserve the right to increase the costs depending upon the extra work involved, which will be fully explained to you before any further costs are incurred.
Whether you are buying, selling, or re-mortgaging, we can help you through the conveyancing process as quickly and smoothy as possible. We can also advise you on leases and other Landlord/tenant aspects of the law. We will provide a fixed fee for our service, as well as an estimate of the additional expenses, (for example, local authority searches, land registry searches etc…) which may be required as the matter progresses.
WILLS & PROBATE
To make life easier for your loved ones after you have gone, it is essential to make a Will. Drafting a will can be arranged quickly and conveniently for you and, once drafted, you can be assured that your assets will be distributed exactly in accordance with your wishes, as and when the time arises, If you don't make a will, then it is possible, in some circumstances, for the Crown to rightly claim everything. You may have recently lost a love one, a friend or relative. It is possible to apply for probate in person, as the Personal Representative of a loved one, but this is time consuming, and would necessitate you attending an interview in person with the local Probate Registry. It is a complex procedure, and one which can be extremely costly if mistakes are made. We can apply for the grant on your behalf, assist with administration of the estate and distribute to any beneficiaries.
